A. Channeling people toward a goal.
B. Enabling people to fulfill their task.

D. Being an example.
E. Having responsibility.
F. Motivating and managing others.
G. A gift and a stewardship.
H. Servanthood.
I. A leader is someone who can get others to follow him. People respond to his initiative.
A leader with no followers is not leading--he's just taking a walk. J. The destination of a godly leader is determined by GOD and the Kingdom of God.
1. The destination of leadership is as or more important than the effective functioning of leadership. Where we are taking people is as or more important than how good we are at getting them there.
2. Leadership should never be defined as a destination. Leadership is a SERVING function. People are more important than goals. But leadership serves with a certain destination in mind.
3. The destination is not determined either by the leaders or by the people. The destination of leadership is determined only by the Lord. Christian leadership is GOD-driven.
Leadership is not a matter of "king of the mountain." K. Leadership is helping PEOPLE fulfill God's PURPOSE for their lives.
