Course Description: A study in the practice and problems of applying leadership principles with emphasis on the call and preparation of leadership.

Text: Damazio, Frank. The Making Of A Leader. Portland: Author, 1988.

Course Objectives:

1. To present biblical principles of leadership, focusing on how leadership is developed.

2. To help each student evaluate his/her own leadership abilities and development.

3. To inspire the class to aspire to fulfill their leadership potential.

4. To clarify the concepts and costs involved in being a leader.

Course Requirements:

1. Listen carefully to each lesson, taking thorough notes as you do. Then answer the review questions on the Worksheet at the end of the lesson. The Worksheets will be sent back to C.L.T.I. after lessons 12, 24 and 32.

2. Follow the reading assignments in the text by Frank Damazio on your lesson Worksheets. When you finish a chapter in the text write a sentence outline summary of the chapter. The outline must be typewritten. Send all the summaries in to C.L.T.I. at the end of the course.

3. Read a Christian biography and at the end, write a list of at least 20 leadership principles learned from the book. These leadership principles must be typewritten. Send you list to C.L.T.I. at the end of the course.

4. There will be an exam following lessons 1-12, 13-24 and 25-32. A comprehensive final exam will be given when all the work for the course has been completed.
