Procedures
and Registration
Organizing A Study Group
- Our
Correspondence Study Group program is a way
more than one student can complete a course
of study together. In this way, you can
encourage and motivate one another in the
process of completing the course as well as
discuss the course materials together.
- The first
thing that is required for a Study Group is
a Group Coordinator. The Group Coordinator
is not a Bible College teacher but rather is
as the name implies - the one who
coordinates all the procedures of the
Correspondence Course.
Preparing
For The Course
- First of
all, the Coordinator needs to fill out the
"Study Group Coordinator Registration" form
and sign the "Copyright Agreement." This
form is now available online.
- Next, begin
to sign up students for your Study Group and
assist them in filling out the "Study Group
Member Registrtion" form (for each
individual member). These forms are also
available online.
- Examine the
"Description of Courses" and assist the
group in deciding which class(es) to
register for. Then complete the "Study Group
Course Registration" form, including the
"Calculation of Charges." Once again, this
step can be completed online.
- Collect the
payments from the members, make sure the
registration forms are together and in
order, and mail the entire package to the
C.L.T.I. office.
- If
registering online, the C.L.T.I. office will
contact with for confirmation. Payment may
also be made with VISA or MasterCard when
the office calls you.
- For all the
details see
Registering
For The Course below.

Conducting The Course
- When you
receive all the course materials in the
mail, call an initial meeting of the Study
Group to orient them to thems. Only the
Coordinator will receive a copy of the taped
lectures and will be responsible for their
use. Everyone will receive a copy of the
Learning Packet and Textbook(s). Then decide
on a schedule for the course and set the
specific time for the first class session.
- During the
class sessions you will be playing the audio
cassette while each member takes notes. If
the tape goes too quickly at points, you may
have to rewind the tape. Do whatever you
need to do to keep the class session moving.
- At the end
of 12 lessons collect the Worksheets from
each member and mail them in a package to
the C.L.T.I. office. (You will want to
continue your class sessions while the first
set of worksheets are being graded.) We will
then grade them and send you the graded
worksheets back along with the exam for
those 12 lessons. When you receive them in
the mail, distribute the graded worksheets
and schedule a special class session so the
group members can take their exams. Then
mail the completed exams in a package to our
office. This procedure will happen twice for
a two-credit class and three times for a
three-credit class.
- At the end
of the course, you will receive the Final
Exams. When they have been completed, send
them in for grading, along with all of the
Research Projects from the group members.
- Finally,
when each member of your group has completed
the course, we will send your "Certificates
of Completion" to you to distribute to the
members.

Registering For the Course:
- When
completing your registration procedures it
is very important that you carefully and
accurately calculate your group charges.
Begin by writing down the exact number of
students in your Study Group.
- Then
multiply this number by $20.00 to calculate
the group Enrollment Fee. Everyone must pay
this fee when they enroll in their first
C.L.T.I. course in order for us to establish
Permanent Academic Records for the group
members. Those who have previously enrolled
in a C.L.T.I. course do not have to pay this
fee.
- From the "Description
of Courses" determine how many "Course
Credits" your C.L.T.I. course involves. Then
determine what the appropriate "Course
Charge" is from the "Description
of Charges."
Calculate your
course charges by multiplying the number of
students in your Study Group times the
Course Charge for the course you have
chosen.
- Then
subtract the Study Group Discount of 25%
from the Course Charges (the discount does
not apply to the enrollment fee or texts)
and calculate the Total Course Charges.
- Each course
may have at least one required textbook
which C.L.T.I. can order for your with your
Learning Packet. Be sure to order the number
of texts you will need for your group and
calculate the total charges.
- If your
Study Group resides in the U.S.A., the cost
of Shipping & Handling will be included in
the Course Charge. If not, it will be billed
to you separately.
- Add up the
Enrollment Fee, Course Charges, and
Textbooks to calculate the Total Charges.
NOTE: Although your group may take more than
one course at a time, you must register for
each course separately.
- When we
have received your Study Group Registration
packet in the mail, we will process it and
send you a response by return mail. As
always, whenever you have a question or need
help, never hesitate to
e-mail us
or call the C.L.T.I. office at (503)
256-5820.
