Our brief history

Christian Life Training Institute (CLTI) started here in London in September 1999.

In the late 90s, God laid a strong impression on our principal and founder, Joseph Boadu about the need to start to develop leaders if he wanted to impact people and to see our church grow.

Here’s a statement that perfectly sums up what God said to our Senior Minister when it all got started:

“Begin to train your leaders if you want
CLF [the church] to grow and impact people”

The first cohort of about 10 students were taught here in South London by our principal and his wife, Ayshea Boadu and one of our senior elders and pastor of CLF Life Centre, John Kwame Dompreh.

This initial headcount of about 10 students has grown to include:

  • Over 125 students here in the UK
  • Over 100 students in Ghana
  • 19 students in Sierra Leone, and
  • 7 students in Kenya

We’ve also seen our Bible School expand to include:
  • Two campuses in the UK (London and Medway)
  • Two campuses in Sierra Leone (Port Loko and Makeni)
  • One campus in Ghana
  • One in Kenya

As of September 2017
